Sport Club Hakoah Bergen County is an amateur soccer club from Bergen County, New Jersey established in 2009. The team takes its name from a legendary all-Jewish Austrian soccer team called Hakoah Vienna that competed internationally in the early 20th century until the Nazis shut it down in 1938.[1]
SC Hakoah played their first season in the North Jersey Soccer League Premier West Division in the 2011-12 season, and is currently in fourth place.[2]

The idea to re-create Hakoah Vienna in the United States was not a new concept. In the 1920s, players from the club in Vienna built New York Hakoah which competed in the American Soccer League. The club was disbanded in 1964.[1] In 2009, Ron Glickman decided to try and rebuild the Hakoah club in the New York suburb of Teaneck, New Jersey.[3] Scouting for players was done via local college rosters and direct contact with college coaches.[4]
The Hakoah Bergen County crest is based off of the Hakoah Berlin crest, which itself is a modified version of the famed Hakoah Vienna crest.
The team's home kit is sky blue with hoops, based off the original Sydney Hakoah kit. Their away kit is all navy.
At the beginning of the 2011-2012 season, team founder Ron Glickman came to an agreement with Fairleigh Dickinson University to use their soccer field as the team's home pitch.[3]
Note: Flags indicate national team as has been defined under FIFA eligibility rules. Players may hold more than one non-FIFA nationality.
